Matisse Cut-Outs Exhibition at the Tate NOT TO BE MISSED

This is the largest display ever to have been put on of Matisse's cut-out works and its remarkable.

It shows many of Matisse's works that he created at the end of his life and its the first time may of the art work have been displayed outside of France.

As the artist himself said, they are examples of how he was “cutting directly into colour.”

From studying the human anatomy in my final year of art a-level, the four famous blue nudes really drew me in as they gave me an insight into Matisse's depiction of the female form and its sculptural quality.

Overall, this exhibition gave me a greater insight into his technique, his repositioning and slight hesitation of creating such masterpieces.

This show should not be missed. It has never before been matched.
This is a feast of dazzling dreams: come to the carnival.

I guarantee that this exhibition of the colour-saturated works Henri Matisse made by cutting out shapes from pre-painted sheets of paper during the last 17 years of his life will be among the most popular ever staged in this country… Outstanding.
